Heroes of the East Day
Final update
This year’s 2008 Bite the Mango Film festival will be held in Bradford West Yorkshire on the Sunday the 21st of September. The very special guest is the face every Bruce Lee fan has seen and his photos have been appreciated by all, it is the Scottish soldier who visited the set of Way of the Dragon. He is making a very special one off appearance at this event, to talk about his experiences of how ,why and what it was like meeting Bruce Lee and the rest of the cast of the film, he will also be selling a limited number of his unseen photo’s before they appear in a new book which is under discussion and is tentatively to be called “On the set of Way of the Dragon”, This already proving to be a big selling feature of this event so don’t forget to book early to avoid disappointment.
The day will pay tribute to the 35th Anniversary of the release of Enter the Dragon, the day will comprise of the rarely seen Anniversary 35mm print for the big screen, there will also be the 15th Anniversary tribute screening of Dragon- The Bruce Lee story starring Jason Scott Lee.
Other films on the day will be Green Fan’s premiere of the acclaimed sword play movie “ The Dream Sword” and we are proud to announce that we have the exclusive premiere of the big box office Thai boxing martial arts movie called “Chocolate” which is the new female Tony Jaa movie, starring JeeJa Yanin ,who plays an autistic girl who learns fantastic martial art techniques from watching Bruce Lee movies due to her photographic memory, and uses her skills to settle her ailing mother's debts by seeking out the ruthless gangs that owe her family money and settling the score with a ferocity seldom seen at the movies especially from a female to round the day off.
Also Steve Kerridge will be giving a short talk on his ground breaking trilogy of books covering a under the microscope look at Bruce Lee’s life around the time of him making the Way of The Dragon the series of books is called “Legends of the Dragon”, Steve will then be conducting the very first worldwide personal signing session of volumes 1 and 2 at this event.

Original Big Boss music may become available.
The music scores for The Big Boss which was composed by German composer Peter Thomas may become available.
Peter’s work on the film did not become widely known until 2005, when some of the music he composed for the film appeared on the Internet. The story behind Thomas's involvement stems from the complete reworking of the English dub of the film. There was an earlier English dub which was rejected. New voice actors were brought in to re-dub the film in English, and with this, Peter Thomas was called in to rescore the film, completely abandoning Wang Fu-ling's original score.
There are quite a lot of missing tracks, but they may be library tracks never officially released to the public.
Aside from this, while the mainstream English dub of the film features the Peter Thomas score, it is also believed that the German dubbed version features his score, especially with the reference to the German title of the film. Thomas's score was expanded upon for the Italian version of the film, strangely enough, a couple of Wang Fu-ling's music cues having "Snuck into" this version also.
This also means that the Tam L.P. Brought out in the late 70’s is really a weird bootleg.
We at OneSixthBruce have been asked to conduct a world wide survey to see what the demand for such C.D would be, a business group are talking to Peter to see if they can release all his music and more, plus he has offered a special re-mix version to commemorate the films popularity.
If you would like one of these limited edition c.d’s please email onesixthbruce@googlemail.com
You may not get a reply as it is just a survey, but come on all you so called Bruce Lee fans lets get the real music to Bruce Lee’s films without some strange English dub, I know I want one, do you?!

We thought that we would never get the Way of the Dragon back in stock but we managed to secure 8, unfortunately they are not direct from Enterbay but a hobby shop in Hong Kong.
We did our best to drive the cost down but in the end we could not let these 8 sets go as we have customers who want this at any cost!!
With the cost of phone calls to Hong Kong we could almost got a plane ticket!!
Anyway be quick if you want one as we are sure the 3 we have for sale won't last long!!

OneSixthBruce had a great time at SENI08.
Highlights -
Friday night - Bummped into Amir Khan at the hotel, had a quick chat, very down to earth guy, a great champ!
Saturday - busy 1st day, sold out of Version B by 11.30am!!!
Our family friend Sam Mak winning 2 golds at the Wu Shu comp, respect to Mr Fred Mak as he was so so tired!!! - Fred you should get Red Bull to sponser you!!
Had dinner that night at China Palace, accross from ExCel and who was sitting on the next table - Linda Lee, Shannon Lee with her daughter Wren, Yori Nakamura, Tommy Gong and some of the members of the Bruce Lee Foundation. Very surreal feeling sitting next to them, with respect I did not approach them.
Sunday - another busy day - eventually got to meet Linda and Shannon.
They signed my GOD box sleeve and also got them to sign my brothers version A and B boxes.

Linda asked my son Tyler what he did and he replied 'Freestyle' made her chuckle!!!
Also got Richard Bustillo to sign too!
All in all was a great weekend, made some new friends, Great response to the figures and got to meet a few OneSixBruce customers!!
Big thanks to all at 'Action Asia' for the space.
Was a great event and for sure, we will be back for SENI09.
19/04/08

The skill build wood machinist (Carl Smith) that made the limited Game of Death base has just informed me that he will make some bases for the Enter the Dragon version.
These will be very limited once again and in the same high quality as the Game of Death ones.
The run would be around 7 units, and I have asked for 5!
